If you remember the film ‘Oke Okkadu’, the concept of a common man becoming CM for one day took the audience by storm given the truthful and just administration of the protagonist. Can this happen in real life? Well, the way Telangana CM KCR has been going about with things, it looks possible.
This is the confidence the people of Telangana are getting after KCR made his tour in Warangal and Hanumakonda recently and warned residents not to bribe government officials of the housing project he has initiated. The helpline number he gave for lodging complaints has proved to be useful with a total of 2534 complaints getting registered in a single day.
As a result, KCR has reportedly expanded the number to 60 extensions and a special team has been deployed to make note of all the complaints. The important part comes now. We have to see how many of these issues will be resolved. Of course it is not that easy to resolve all but what is important is taking the step forward. If not all cases, at least if 100 cases are resolved automatically by KCR all others will keep their mouth shut and not resort to any illegal acts. Strict law must be implemented and the way KCR is functioning, he is heading in the right direction.
