TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao claimed he remained silent all these days as Congress Working Committee has already declared Telangana statehood and he is confident that no force could stop the division.
Explaining why has he given approval to the proposal of Hyderabad as common capital for 10 years, KCR said he agreed to it on humanitarian grounds. “Telangaites doesn’t wish to treat them like Madras did, so common capital proposal has been agreed on temporary basis. One needs to be clever in certain dealings by saying Telangana will be receiving revenues in the form of taxes from Seemandhra employees during this period.
Responding on Rs 4 lakh crore allocation demand of TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu for building the new capital, KCR opined Telangana region too deserves similar compensation as the people here have been deprived of their privileges for 57 years. He also described the ongoing agitations in Seemandhra as the ploy to bring few departments of Hyderabad under the Centre’s control.
