After multiple delays, Hari Hara Veera Mallu, starring Pawan Kalyan, has finally hit theatres worldwide and opened to a thunderous response. With impressive premieres last night and strong bookings today, the film is off to a promising start.
Interestingly, audiences who watched the film feel that there are two heroes in the movie—while one is undoubtedly Pawan Kalyan, the other is music maestro MM Keeravani. Initially, there was skepticism surrounding Keeravani’s work, as the songs didn’t create much pre-release buzz. However, those doubts were quickly put to rest once the film hit screens.
Keeravani’s background score elevated key moments in the narrative, adding emotional depth and intensity. Even the songs that felt underwhelming before release turned out to be visually and emotionally compelling within the film’s context. Viewers soon realized that the soundtrack was purposefully composed to align with the story’s tone and period setting.
There has long been a belief that Keeravani reserves his best for Rajamouli’s films. But Hari Hara Veera Mallu has clearly debunked that notion. Pawan Kalyan himself emphasized in pre-release interviews that the film would not have been the same without Keeravani’s music—and now audiences agree.
After iconic works like Baahubali and RRR, Keeravani has once again proven that he’s a master at scoring historic and period dramas, reinforcing his legacy as one of Indian cinema’s finest composers.
