It has been a while since Keerthy Suresh appeared in a straight Telugu film. Her last such appearance was in the 2023 release Bholaa Shankar. Now, she is making a comeback to Telugu cinema with the OTT film Uppu Kappurambu.
Meanwhile, there have been rumors about her joining Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming project Rowdy Janardhana, directed by Ravi Kiran Kola and produced by Dil Raju. During the promotions of Uppu Kappurambu, when asked about these rumors, Keerthy remained non-committal and said that Dil Raju would be the one to confirm. She did not deny the possibility, which many have taken as a hint toward her involvement in the film.
If confirmed, this would mark Keerthy’s first collaboration with Vijay Deverakonda as they have never shared screen space despite both starring in films like Mahanati, Jathi Ratnalu, and Kalki 2898 AD.
Uppu Kappurambu is scheduled for its world premiere on July 4 on Amazon Prime Video. The film stars Suhaas alongside Keerthy and is directed by Ani Sasi, with production by Radhika Lavu.
