King Nagarjuna’s Naa Saami Ranga Scores Big in Sankranti

Nagarjuna Akkineni, the Telugu cinema stalwart, has once again proven his box office mettle with his latest offering, ‘Naa Saami Ranga.’ Despite limited pre-release buzz, the film, released on January 14th amidst the competitive Sankranti season, has managed to charm audiences and critics alike, achieving a remarkable opening.

Naa Saami Ranga, a rural mass entertainer with Nagarjuna at the helm, has raked in impressive collections across Telugu states. In its first two days, the film earned a share of 8.8 crores, followed by a steady 3.58 crores on day three. This translates to a total share of 12.46 crores across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana within just three days.

Nizam, the crown jewel of Telugu box office, contributed 1.05 crores to the film’s earnings, while Ceded, Vizag, East and West Godavari regions chipped in with 60 lakhs, 51 lakhs, 44 lakhs, and 24 lakhs respectively. Krishna and Guntur districts combined witnessed collections of 58 lakhs, while Nellore added 18 lakhs.

On a global scale, Naa Saami Ranga grossed a phenomenal 24.8 crores in just three days, exceeding expectations considering the intense competition during the Sankranti season. With no major releases this weekend, analysts predict a significant rise in footfall for the film, potentially pushing it into the coveted profit zone.

Nagarjuna’s unassuming arrival with Naa Saami Ranga, devoid of excessive pre-release hype, has proven him to be a true Sankranti box office king. The film’s success rests on the shoulders of a talented team, including music composer MM Keeravani, story and dialogue writer Prasanna Kumar Bezawada, and producer Srinivasa Chitturi of Srinivasaa Silver Screen.

Ashika Ranganath joins Nagarjuna as the leading lady, while Mirnaa Menon and Rukshar Dhillon share screen space with Naresh and Raj Tarun respectively. Vijay Binni helms the director’s seat, with Pavan Kumar presenting the film’s captivating visuals through the lens of cinematographer Shivendra Dasaradhi.

Naa Saami Ranga’s resounding success is a testament to Nagarjuna’s enduring popularity and his ability to connect with audiences through diverse roles. The film’s strong performance at the box office reaffirms his position as a formidable force in Telugu cinema, proving that even a low-key entry can lead to a grand victory.

With positive word-of-mouth and no major competition in its path, Naa Saami Ranga promises to continue its glorious run at the box office, solidifying its place as a successful Sankranti release and potentially adding another feather to King Nagarjuna’s illustrious cinematic crown.
