Kireeti Reddy Shines in Debut Film Junior Amid Mixed Reviews

Junior, the much-anticipated debut vehicle of Kireeti Reddy, has officially hit theatres and is already generating significant attention across the industry. A romantic family entertainer, the film also marks the Telugu comeback of Genelia Deshmukh and features Sreeleela in a prominent role.

Directed by Radha Krishna, Junior has received a mixed response from audiences. While the film’s narrative structure drew some criticism, Kireeti’s performance — particularly his screen presence and dance skills — has been widely appreciated. Social media platforms, especially X (formerly Twitter), are abuzz with reactions. Several users drew comparisons between Kireeti’s dance moves and those of Jr NTR, praising the debutant’s agility, rhythm, and charisma.

Interestingly, Kireeti, who is a real-life fan of Jr NTR, portrays an on-screen admirer of the RRR star — a detail that resonated with many fans.

One viewer posted:

“Kireeti as a debutant is a showstopper! His electrifying dance moves lit up the screen with unmatched energy and grace. His precision in fight sequences was thrilling, and his ease on screen is captivating. With this stellar start, he has a bright future.”

However, not all reviews were positive. Another user remarked:

“When launching a debutant, simplicity and clarity work best. Junior tries too hard to project Kireeti as a star with a mashup of ideas from several films, but lacks proper character building and emotional connection. It ends up feeling like a tiresome watch.”

Despite these contrasting opinions on the film’s storytelling, Junior has been commended for its technical finesse. Devi Sri Prasad’s high-energy soundtrack — infused with dynamic electronic elements — complements the film’s vibrant tone. Choreographer Vijay Polaki’s stylish dance sequences, shot on elaborate, colorful sets, add significant visual appeal.

The film is backed by an experienced and acclaimed technical crew. KK Senthil Kumar’s striking cinematography, Peter Hein’s adrenaline-charged stunt choreography, and Raveendar’s rich production design elevate the film’s overall presentation. Dialogues are penned by Kalyan Chakravarthy Tripuraneni, with crisp editing by Niranjan Devaramane.

Produced by Rajani Korrapati, Junior is a Pan-India release, available in Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam. The cast also includes Kannada superstar Crazy Star Dr. Ravichandran in a pivotal role, alongside Genelia in a strong comeback performance.

Kireeti Reddy, son of former Karnataka minister and industrialist Gali Janardhan Reddy, makes an ambitious entry into the film industry. With strong technical backing and a noteworthy debut, Junior positions Kireeti as a promising new talent in South Indian cinema.
