Renowned comedy artist Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao breathed his last on the night at around 10:30 pm on Monday, November 2, 2015. He had been being treated at NIIMS Hospitals for the past six months due to ear and diabetic related problems.
Kondavalasa was initially a drama artist, who gave 1000 stage performances before coming into films. Kondavalasa, who hailed from Srikakulam, had rendered his serivces as an employee in Visakha Port Trust before stepping into the shoes of a film artist.
Kondavalasa made his debut as an actor with Vamsi’s ‘Avunu Vaalliddaroo Ishtapaddaru’. He acted more than 300 films. ‘Radha Gopalam’, ‘Pandem’, ‘Rajababu’, ‘Boss’, ‘Adhurs’, ‘Bendu Apparao RMP’, ‘Blade Babji’ etc. were some of the films enacted by Kondavalasa. His ‘Aithey OK’ dialogue was very popular in Telugu states. “ManaTelugu.in” is deeply saddened with the demise of Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao. We pray his soul rests in peace.
