Rana Daggubati continues his mission of nurturing fresh talent, this time presenting the quirky rural entertainer Kothapallilo Okappudu. Directed by debutante Praveena Paruchuri and backed by Paruchuri Vijaya Praveena Arts, the film promises a unique cinematic flavor with a blend of humor, charm, and rural nostalgia.
The teaser, which just dropped, sets the tone for this offbeat tale. It opens in a village where locals are seen gossiping and complaining about the protagonist, accusing him of flirting with a local girl. The twist? He simply runs a record dance studio and is looking for a dance partner to perform with him on stage. Unfortunately, his actions are misunderstood not only by the girl but by the entire village.
This fresh and humorous rural drama stands out for its eccentric storyline and casting of fresh faces, which adds authenticity and novelty. Petros Antoniadis handles the cinematography, while music maestro Mani Sharma provides the soundtrack, adding depth and rhythm to the film’s whimsical tone.
The makers have officially announced that Kothapallilo Okappudu will hit theatres on July 18th.
