Veteran filmmaker Rakesh Roshan is currently immersed in the pre-production of his highly anticipated superhero film, Krrish 4. The director recently confirmed that the film’s principal photography is scheduled to commence in the middle of next year. In an exciting development, Yash Raj Films (YRF) will join forces with Rakesh Roshan’s Filmkraft to co-produce the project, marking their first collaboration with the iconic filmmaker.
YRF previously partnered with Hrithik Roshan on War 2, a high-profile venture that unfortunately underperformed at the box office. Despite the setback, the production house is willing to take another calculated risk, recognizing the enduring popularity of the Krrish franchise and its potential to draw audiences.
While War 2’s performance may influence perceptions of Hrithik Roshan’s upcoming films, the Krrish series’ established fan base is expected to generate significant interest. Given the scale and ambition of the project, the investment is considered a financial risk; however, the collaboration between Filmkraft and YRF signals confidence in the franchise’s long-term appeal.
Rakesh Roshan’s team is investing substantial effort in pre-production to ensure a smooth shooting schedule and avoid delays. Krrish 4 is slated for a theatrical release in 2027, promising to continue the legacy of one of Bollywood’s most beloved superhero sagas.
