Telangana IT Minister, K Taraka Ramarao reached out to help ‘Vedam’ fame Nagaiah who had resorted to begging due to extreme poverty. Web Media extensively publicized the plight of Nagaiah and the news reached KTR through Twitter.
He found out Nagaiah’s contact and today gave a cheque of One Lakh from his personal account. He also directed officials to sanction him old-age pension from government side. KTR also spoke to Rajendra Prasad, president of MAA to also assist Nagaiah in all possible ways.
Nagaiah’s son is a light man in film industry. The family’s poverty forced him to begging. Nagaiah was spotted by Vedam director Krish on Filmnagar roads and offered him the role of ‘Siricilla Ramulu’ in Vedam.
His acting won several accolades from all the quarters but he could not get enough chances in film industry except for 3-4 lesser known film. Hope this help from Telangana government ends all his miseries.
