Naga Chaitanya’s NC25: Fans Hope for Big-Name Director, Actor Follows Instincts

Naga Chaitanya bounced back strongly this year with Thandel, which grossed around ₹100 crore at the box office, marking a significant turnaround after a challenging phase in his career. He is currently shooting for his next project, NC24, titled Vrusha Karma, directed by Virupaksha fame Karthik Dandu.
The success of Thandel and the promising collaboration with Karthik Dandu have reinvigorated Akkineni fans’ confidence, signaling that Chaitanya’s career trajectory is steadily moving upward. After completing Vrusha Karma, the actor is expected to embark on his landmark 25th film, NC25. Fans had hoped that this milestone project would see a collaboration with a top-tier director such as Boyapati Sreenu or Koratala Siva.
However, Naga Chaitanya has consistently chosen to follow his own instincts rather than pursuing big-name directors, despite having the support of the Akkineni family and Akkineni Studios. The same approach seems to be continuing with NC25, a decision that has reportedly left some sections of fans disappointed on social media.
According to reports, NC25 is likely to be directed by Clax, who made his directorial debut with Bedurulanka 2012 in 2023, which was well-received as a decent watch. Clax’s script apparently impressed Naga Chaitanya, and the project is moving forward positively, with plans to go on floors once Chaitanya wraps Vrusha Karma. Producers Asian Suniel and Bunny Vas are reportedly in the running to back this landmark film.
It remains to be seen whether Naga Chaitanya will reconsider his choice in response to fan expectations or continue following his instincts for his milestone 25th film.
