Kakinada-based lawyer Suravarapu Venkata Ravi has filed a complaint with the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights alleging a Lok Sabha MP was involved in clicking nude photos of his children.Lawyer Ravi accused Telugu Desam Party’s (TDP) Kakinada MP Thota Narasimham of having a hand in the “criminal act”.
He has also sent some mobile numbers of some people alleging that they were involved in criminal conspiracy. All the children whose photos were allegedly clicked are below 16 years of age.
The State Commission for Protection of Child Rights has written to Andhra Pradesh Director-General of Police (DGP) JV Ramudu and the Secretary Home Affairs to enquire into the matter and initiate action. The commission has sought a report by June 16.The allegations attract Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POSCO) Act.
