KCR was known as the word wizard. His speeches had won the elections and whatever he said became a mantra for success. It was his speeches that created a mood in favour of a separate state of Telangana. His speeches were responsible for winning votes and forming governments.
But the very same KCR, who won people with words, is wooing the Telangana voters with money. He did nothing except speak to win twice. But this time, he is showering money to win the people. Look at the slew of schemes being implemented in just Huzurabad! Look at the implementation of Dalit Bandhu, where Rs 10 lakh would be deposited into the accounts! The kind of money that is changing hands in Huzurabad too stands testimony of the fact that words and speeches will no longer win the elections.
There are allegations galore that he is splurging money to win votes after he came to power in 2019. While huge amounts are being spent by the party and the candidates, even the government money is being spent in the name of various schemes. The result? The state coffers are empty now and the state is looking for loans to support itself.
Despite this, the government seems to be more and more inclined to launch freebees to win the elections. This trend began in Nagarjunasagar and is now continuing in Huzurabad. As a result, the state government exchequer is getting empty. But, KCR seems to be utterly unconcerned about the financial position of the state.
