Dulquer Salmaan’s recent production venture, the Lokah superhero series, made waves with its first installment, Chandra, which became Malayalam cinema’s all-time industry hit, surpassing Mohanlal’s Empuraan.
The series now shifts focus to the other superheroes in its universe, with the second installment titled Lokah: Chapter 2 – Michael, centering on Tovino Thomas’ character. To heighten anticipation, the makers recently released a teaser featuring both Tovino and Dulquer.
Dulquer Salmaan, who reprises his role as Charlie, shares screen space with Tovino in a light-hearted and engaging teaser. Tovino’s character brings a joyful energy, while Dulquer’s Charlie remains mostly reserved. The teaser showcases playful banter, with Tovino urging Dulquer to stay in touch and seeking help regarding issues with his brother. Initially hesitant, Charlie eventually agrees to assist when needed, adding a fun twist to their interaction.
The teaser also references Mothon (Big Brother), a key figure in the series, likely to be portrayed by Mammootty, and includes a humorous nod to Kalyani Priyadarshan, who was central to the first part of the series. Tovino, who made a special appearance in Chandra, continues to bring comic relief and charm.
The second installment, focusing on Michael, is expected to carry forward the fun and entertaining tone set by the first part. Directed by Dominic Arun, shooting for Lokah: Chapter 2 – Michael is set to begin soon, promising more superhero action and laughter for fans.
