The recent exit of Vijay Sai Reddy from politics and his fallout with Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy has sparked a fresh political debate in Andhra Pradesh. This development has become a major topic of discussion across the state. In response, IT Minister Nara Lokesh offered a sharp critique of the situation.

During a media briefing, Lokesh was questioned about Vijay Sai Reddy’s political retirement and how the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) views this turn of events. Lokesh pointed out, “From TDP’s perspective, what we see is that even Jagan’s own mother and sister do not trust him. If that’s the case within his own family, how can we expect party leaders to work with him? I have always said that Jagan is unfit for politics. If he has enough money, he will even sell his own party.”

Lokesh also highlighted the growing tensions within Jagan’s family, specifically between Vijayamma and Sharmila, using it as a lens to explain Jagan’s mindset and why Vijay Sai Reddy decided to leave politics.

When asked about the deputy chief minister post, Lokesh emphasized his commitment to TDP, stating, “I am a foot soldier of the Telugu Desam Party and am ready to serve in any capacity required. However, I firmly believe that one person should not hold power for three consecutive terms. I’ve already served twice and plan to avoid taking on that role next time.”

Lokesh also addressed his recent visit to the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, clarifying that the trip was not aimed at signing agreements right away. “The government’s goal was never to sign deals there; it was about networking. Once all the data is collected, the agreements will be finalized and signed here,” he explained.
