Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has a happy occasion to celebrate on Tuesday, at a time when he is going through a tough phase in his four-decades long political career.
Naidu is celebrating his 39th wedding anniversary – he tied the knot to N Bhuvaneshwari, third daughter of TDP founder-president, legendary actor and former chief minister N T Rama Rao on this day in 1980.
He had already been in politics by that time and was serving as minister for cinematography in the Anjaiah cabinet at the time of marriage.
Since then, the TDP president has come a long way in politics and had been the chief minister for three times – twice for the combined Andhra Pradesh and once for residuary AP.
He has seen ups and downs in his political career and is presently undergoing the hardest phase of his life at its fag end.
Naidu-Bhuvaneshwari’s only son Nara Lokesh, who is no way nearer to his father’s achievements, is however very ecstatic over his parents’ wedding anniversary. As usual, he took to his favourite medium Twitter to greet his parents.
“Today, mom and dad are celebrating their wedding anniversary. It was on this day that my mother had walked the sacred seven steps with my father by holding his hand and promising to be with him in his ideals and thoughts always. My mother has been my father’s true companion in his life. I extend my greetings to this ideal couple and heartily wish them a hundred years of happy and prosperous life.”
