Director Lokesh Kanagaraj, who made his debut with Managaram and rose to fame with Kaithi, has established a strong collaborative bond with music composer Anirudh Ravichander. While he worked with different music directors for his first two films, Lokesh teamed up with Anirudh for Master and continued the partnership in Vikram, Leo, and Coolie. In a recent interview, Lokesh boldly stated that he intends to work exclusively with Anirudh throughout his career.
This statement has sparked speculation about his upcoming projects. For instance, Sam CS, who delivered a remarkable score for Kaithi, may be replaced by Anirudh for the much-anticipated sequel, which is still some time away from production. Fans are curious to see how this change in musical collaboration will be received.
Lokesh also shared insights into his creative process, revealing how AI assists him. “We often look at references to get ideas and explore how they can be adapted into cinema. AI is helpful for me in that way,” he explained.
On the professional front, Lokesh is currently taking a break from directing to focus on his acting debut under the direction of Arun Mateshwaran.
