On the occasion of Nara Lokesh’s birthday yesterday, certain social media groups affiliated with YCP launched a campaign targeting him, using a viral video. The video, filmed at a ZP School in West Godavari, depicted students arranged in a formation to convey the message “Happy Birthday Lokesh Sir.” Some groups twisted the narrative, claiming that children were made to sit under the sun to wish Lokesh.
Despite the apparent attempt to malign his image, Lokesh responded with maturity. He expressed heartfelt gratitude for the affection shown by the students and authorities, saying, “I happened to see this. My heartfelt gratitude for the warm birthday wishes from each one of the tiny tots.”
However, Lokesh also took a thoughtful and humane approach by addressing the issue directly. He requested the school management to refrain from such activities in the future, stating, “I request the school management not to make children perform such gestures. Children’s time in school is valuable and should be spent on academic and extracurricular pursuits that can enhance their learning and personality. I would be thankful if such activities are not repeated,” he tweeted.

During the Jagan regime, similar controversies occurred, such as using school buses to transport crowds to the CM’s public meetings, and students being brought in to fill arenas. Despite several complaints, Jagan did not address these concerns.
In contrast, Lokesh immediately addressed the situation, showing consideration for the students’ welfare. His response highlights the importance of keeping children away from political activities at a young age, and it is commendable that he urged the authorities to ensure that such events do not take place again.
