One of the most notorious aspects of the previous Jagan administration in Andhra Pradesh was the harsh verbal abuse directed at women. This even escalated to the point where Bhuvaneshwari, the apolitical wife of former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, was targeted during a verbal attack in the Assembly.
During the ongoing Mahanadu event in Kadapa, IT Minister Nara Lokesh addressed this issue directly.
“We have all witnessed the humiliation women endured during the previous regime. They went as far as abusing mothers in the Assembly, including Bhuvaneshwari, and now those responsible are facing the consequences,” Lokesh stated.
He also made a pointed remark about a man who, out of spite and hatred, pushed away his own mother and sister — an indirect reference to Jagan. Lokesh sent a strong message about the current family feud involving Vijayamma and Sharmila, questioning, “Arthamainda Raja?” implying that Jagan is now paying the price for the disrespect he showed towards women during his tenure.
