There has long been a sharp rivalry between Sakshi and Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh. Over the years, the media outlet has published several critical reports against Lokesh, many of which he has publicly countered.
The latest controversy centres on Lokesh’s private visit to Sri Lanka, where he watched the India vs Pakistan match in the ongoing T20 World Cup. Sakshi aired a report alleging that crores of public money were spent on the foreign trip at a time when Andhra Pradesh is facing financial pressure.
An official clarification, however, stated that no government funds were used for the visit and that the trip was entirely personal, financed by Lokesh himself.
Reacting to the allegations, Lokesh chose a humorous and filmy route to respond. In a style inspired by the popular dialogue from Pushpa: The Rise, delivered by Allu Arjun, he wrote: “Flight ticket naade… match ticket naade… naa duddu tho match choosthini… nee duddu emaina karchu chesthina Jagan?”
By adapting the iconic “Pushpa” dialogue, Lokesh added a cinematic twist to his rebuttal, turning a political allegation into a viral moment on social media.
