Global superstar Ram Charan and Bollywood’s dazzling Janhvi Kapoor are teaming up for the highly anticipated sports drama Peddi. Even before its official release, the film is generating significant buzz with early glimpses and updates.

Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi is slated to hit theaters on March 27, 2026. Reports suggest that the digital streaming rights have already been sold for ₹130 crore, with the potential for an additional ₹20 crore if the box office performance exceeds expectations. While these numbers are yet to be officially confirmed, fans are eagerly waiting to know which OTT platform will host the film.

The story revolves around a high-stakes village cricket tournament. Ram Charan is expected to portray a fresh and different avatar, featuring a new style and accent that contrasts with his previous roles. Cinematographer Rathnavelu revealed that nearly half of the film has already been shot. Janhvi Kapoor plays the female lead, supported by a strong ensemble including Shiva Rajkumar, Divyendu, and Jagapathi Babu. Recently, Ram Charan teased a glimpse of the film’s first song alongside AR Rahman, adding to the excitement.

For Ram Charan, Peddi follows his political action entertainer Game Changer, where he played an IAS officer tackling corruption. He is also juggling other projects, including a collaboration with director Sukumar (RC17) and potential films under producer Naga Vamsi. These roles highlight his versatility and willingness to experiment with different genres.

Janhvi Kapoor, who was last seen in the romantic comedy Param Sundari with Sidharth Malhotra, now steps into a sports-action setting with Peddi, offering audiences a new side of her acting range. With the pre-release buzz, high-profile collaborations, and major OTT deal, Peddi is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about films of 2026.
