Despite the film featuring Samantha in the role of another star heroine of that times, Jamuna, it’s surprising that they did not even approach her for any inputs.
Though Jamuna always claimed that Savitri is a good friend of her and they shared a sister bonding, industry rumours always stated that Jamuna felt jealous of her senior. Is Nag Ashwin touching any such aspect in his Mahanati? Is that the reason he hasn’t approached real Jamuna to take inputs for her reel portrayal? Did they fear Jamuna might go for a legal action if her character is shown with negative shades?
