Superstar Mahesh Babu’s much-anticipated film with director SS Rajamouli is shaping up to be a true global spectacle. Though the makers haven’t made any official announcements yet, industry buzz suggests that the film, tentatively titled SSMB29, is being designed as a pan-world African action adventure.
Interestingly, the team is exploring a collaboration with a leading Hollywood production house. This strategic move is aimed at giving the film a solid platform to compete at the Oscars, bypassing the limitations of the Foreign Film category. Rajamouli, who gained significant experience in Hollywood circles while promoting RRR, is keen to position this project for international acclaim from the outset.
Rajamouli’s son, Karthikeya, is said to be actively working on aligning the project with the necessary Oscar qualification criteria through this Hollywood partnership. Durga Arts is officially producing the film, with veteran producer KL Narayana at the helm. However, insiders reveal that Narayana is open to taking a secondary producer role if it benefits the film’s global prospects.
