Director AR Murugadoss tested his luck in Telugu but could not taste success. ‘Spyder’ with Superstar Mahesh Babu, was Murugadoss’ last Telugu straight film and now he is arriving with ‘Darbar’ which has South Superstar Rajinikanth in the lead role.
Last night ‘Darbar’ pre-release event was held and later director Murugadoss spoke to media and shared his thoughts. Here Murugadoss talked about ‘Spyder’ and said that he still feels bad as the film flopped at the box office. When asked about how Mahesh Babu reacted on that film’s result, the director added that generally when a director gives a hit to hero, they bond well later but surprisingly Mahesh stayed in touch with me after ‘Spyder’ release. He kept messaging me for nearly a week and I can’t forget that.
Adding, “Even for ‘Darbar’ movie, when I just sent a message, he immediately tweeted it. Mahesh is a pure heart but somehow I could not give him a successful film.”
‘Darbar’ is the first combination of Rajini and Murugadoss. In this film Rajini is playing the role of a cop after nearly 25 years. The film is releasing on January 9th and the online ticket booking has opened.
