Couple of days ago, we reported that Superstar Mahesh Babu will join hands with his favorite director Sreenu Vaitla and produce a film together. Looks like there’s more to this amazing news now. According to the latest reports, 14 Reels, the producers of Mahesh-Sreenu Vaitla combo’s earlier flicks Dookudu and Aagadu, will once again team up with them and produce a film sometime in 2016.
Everyone knows the kind of sensation Mahesh and Sreenu Vaitla created when they first joined hands for the phenomenal hit, Dookudu. The film collected nearly 55 crores and stood as the highest grosser in Mahesh’s career. Unfortunately, their next offing, Aagadu, was a colossal damp squib at the box-office as it failed to recover even half the investments.
With the latest reports of the three bigwigs grouping up again, discussions have started off already saying that the latest move is only to bail out the producers and distributors of 14 Reels, who incurred heavy losses through Aagadu. Apart from Aagadu, Mahesh’s 1 Nenokkadine with 14 Reels was also a huge debacle at the box-office, making him more responsible to cover the losses.
Both Mahesh and Sreenu Vaitla will not accept remunerations but will act as partners in the production and share the profits. The film will go on floors in 2016 after both of them complete their present projects.
