Singanamala Ramesh, the producer of the multicrore disasters Komaram Puli and Khaleja with Pawan Kalyan and Mahesh Babu respectively, has been sentenced to 1 year imprisonment by a local court in Kurnool in a cheque bounce case.
According to the reports, Singanamala Ramesh borrowed 15 lakhs from a person named Rajasekhar Reddy of Banaganapalle in Kurnool district. Ramesh gave his money lender a cheque which was later bounced in the bank.
This prompted Rajasekhar Reddy to file a complaint and the Kurnool court, after several rounds of thorough hearings, awarded one year jail term to Ramesh. The producer was in wrong news until a few years ago for his alleged links with Bhanu Kiran, the main accused in the Maddelachervu Suri murder.
