With the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award renamed after Dhyan Chand people are talking about the sport and Legendary players.The groundwork to bring a biopic on Major Dhyan Chand is progressing at a rapid pace with producer Ronnie Screwvala seriously focusing on the project.
He acquired the rights of the biopic from King Khan Shah Rukh. Udta Punjab fame Abhishek Chaubey was locked as director reportedly.It is said that the makers are vigorously searching for a promising young talent who can play the lead. As the film is expected to touch the crucial moments in Dhyan Chand’s life, the actor should be able to match the looks at different ages.
Earlier it was said that Uri: The Surgical Strike actor Vicky Kaushal might be roped in for the role. However no confirmation was made. We might get more information once the makers find a suitable actor.
