Even as the TDP chief Chandra Babu Naidu has been toying with the idea of forging a non-Congress and non-BJP third front West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Benerjee invited the YSR Congress to join the Federal Front she was mooting.
The Trinamool Congress chief called up the YSR Congress honorary president Vijayamma and talked to her for about 15 minutes. She reportedly talked about the possibility of an early election to the Parliament.
Mamata is expecting mid-term polls around November this year. She wants the Federal Front should maintain equidistance from the Congress and the BJP. It is in this context Mamata has been trying to forge alliances. It is learnt that Vijayamma told Mamata that she would talk to the party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and get back to her.
