Continuing Mohan Babu’s illustrious legacy, the Manchu family has produced three stars, yet none have achieved the level of success that fans had hoped for. Over the past decade, all three have faced struggles at the box office. After a long gap, Vishnu returned with Kannappa but couldn’t deliver the desired success. Manchu Manoj’s comeback film, Bhairavam, also fell short of expectations. Meanwhile, Manchu Lakshmi has been away from the silver screen for a while. Her previously completed film Agninakshatram remains unreleased, leaving fans wondering about its fate.
Now, Lakshmi has surprised fans by unveiling the teaser for Daksha. However, this is not a new film — it is actually the old Agninakshatram with a new title. The teaser was released as a Vinayaka Chavithi gift, generating interest among viewers. The story revolves around a police officer tracking a mysterious killer, with the villain’s character emerging as the highlight. Such crime investigation thrillers have become increasingly popular on OTT platforms, and the genre continues to attract audiences.
Director Vamsi Krishna appears to have chosen a story that aligns with current trends and plans to drive it with a fast-paced screenplay. Lakshmi’s character in the film is portrayed as powerful and commanding, delivering a memorable mass dialogue in the teaser.
