Actor Manchu Manoj, who is gearing up for his grand comeback with the action-packed film Bhairavam, has candidly reflected on some notable projects he missed out on during his earlier career. Many of these films went on to become significant hits, and Manoj’s revelations have stirred curiosity among fans.
“In my career, there were quite a few films that slipped away,” Manoj shared in a recent interview. “Racha was one such film. Sampath Nandi initially approached me for the lead role, but things didn’t align. Eventually, my close friend Ram Charan took it up, and I’m genuinely happy for him.”
Another major miss was Arjun Reddy. “Back in 2013, while I was working on Potugadu, Sandeep Reddy Vanga narrated the script of Arjun Reddy to me. Unfortunately, due to some personal reasons, I had to turn it down. I truly regret missing the opportunity to collaborate with such a brilliant filmmaker.”
Manoj also revealed he was considered for Deva Katta’s Autonagar Surya, a film that later starred Naga Chaitanya.
Now, after an eight-year break from lead roles, Manoj is returning to the silver screen with Bhairavam, which hits theatres tomorrow. The film also stars Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas and Nara Rohith in pivotal roles. Following this, Manoj is set to appear in a powerful negative role in Mirai, releasing on September 5. He also has a solo hero film titled Rakshak lined up for release in 2026.
With multiple projects in the pipeline, Manoj’s second innings in Tollywood looks promising and fans are excited to see what he brings to the table.
