Marking 21 years in the film industry, Manchu Manoj — known for his intense performance in Bhairavam and soon to be seen as an antagonist in Mirai — has announced a bold new project. Titled David Reddy, the film is an epic historical action drama set in the volatile period between 1897 and 1922.

Helmed by director Hanuma Reddy Yakkanti, David Reddy promises to unveil a completely new avatar of Manchu Manoj. The film explores the life of a fierce and fearless rebel who rises from the depths of caste-based oppression to challenge the might of the British Empire.

With a powerful mix of raw emotion, revolutionary fervor, and high-octane action, the film is poised to strike a balance between historical depth and mass appeal. It marks a daring new chapter not only for Manoj but also for Telugu cinema.

Produced by Motukuri Bharath and Nallagangula Venkat Reddy, David Reddy is currently in the pre-production stage. The film’s title poster, which features a gritty image of Manoj fused with the title text, sets the tone for what promises to be an explosive narrative of rebellion and resistance.

The tagline on the poster reads: “Born in the Madras Presidency, raised in Delhi. Now, shaking the British Empire.” — capturing the spirit of defiance and strength the character embodies.

With David Reddy, Manchu Manoj is all set to lead a cinematic uprising, promising audiences a revolutionary tale like never before.
