Tollywood veteran actor Mohan Babu’s legacy continues through his sons Manchu Vishnu and Manchu Manoj, who have made their mark both as actors and producers in the Telugu film industry. Vishnu, currently serving as the President of the Movie Artistes Association (MAA), is also gearing up for the release of his upcoming big-budget mythological epic Kannappa.
In a recent candid YouTube interview with senior filmmaker Tammareddy Bharadwaj, Vishnu revealed several interesting details about his career and personal choices. One particular moment that grabbed attention was when Tammareddy asked a bold and direct question: “Why do you always move around with bouncers?”
Tammareddy compared Vishnu with senior stars like Nandamuri Balakrishna and Nagarjuna, noting that despite their stature, they don’t often travel with security. “Even Balayya, who’s a politician now, used to move freely among people without any bouncers. So why do you need them?” he questioned.
Caught off guard, Vishnu responded with honesty, explaining that his decision comes from past experiences. “There have been instances where fans have rushed in for selfies or photos, creating uncomfortable situations. When I have bouncers around, people think twice before pushing through. It’s more about crowd control and safety – not just for me, but for others around me,” he clarified.
He also added that in public settings like traffic or crowded spaces, he prefers not to cause inconvenience to others. “This isn’t about status or ego. It’s a necessity,” he said.
Vishnu further emphasized that while people might expect him to behave like a “common man,” the reality of being in the public eye is different. “I understand where your question is coming from, Uncle,” Vishnu replied to Tammareddy. “But the truth is, we are not regular individuals. People don’t just want to see me — they want to approach, talk, and sometimes cross boundaries without realizing it. Having security gives that buffer and keeps things in control.”
He also teased that Kannappa will surprise audiences with its scale and emotional depth. “This film is mounted on a massive canvas, and it has elements that will truly amaze viewers,” he concluded.
