It appears a few young stars from the mega family are doing exactly that, taking time away from announcements to carefully rethink their next moves. Instead of rushing into new projects, they seem focused on choosing the right scripts and collaborations, even if it means a long wait.

One such actor is Vaishnav Tej, the younger son of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s sister and the brother of Sai Dharam Tej. He made a sensational debut in 2020 with Uppena, which turned into a massive success despite releasing when theatres were still struggling in the post-COVID phase. The film instantly shot him to fame and set high expectations for his future.

However, his subsequent films—Konda Polam, Ranga Ranga Vaibhavamga, and Aadikeshava—failed to make a mark at the box office, even though they were backed by reputed banners. Critics also felt that Vaishnav Tej was yet to show significant growth in his performances. These setbacks seem to have made the young actor introspective about his career choices.

Interestingly, even as he celebrates his 30th birthday today, January 13, there has been no announcement regarding his next project. This silence suggests that Vaishnav Tej is still in the process of figuring out his next step, carefully weighing his options rather than making a hasty comeback.

A similar approach is being taken by another mega family member, Allu Sirish. Following a string of box office disappointments, the brother of Allu Arjun has also slowed down considerably and is taking his time before committing to a new film. For both actors, this phase appears to be less about urgency and more about rebuilding with clarity and purpose.
