Manchu Vishnu is eagerly awaiting the theatrical release of his ambitious project, Kannappa, which stands as the costliest film of his career. Having invested heavily in the film, there is a significant financial stake riding on this grand-scale production.
Recently, rumors surfaced that a preview screening of Kannappa was held for select Tollywood celebrities, with videos circulating online suggesting that the team had showcased the film ahead of its official release.
However, Vishnu and the Kannappa team have now clarified these speculations, stating that no such premiere took place. Their official statement read:
“Contrary to the rumors spreading online, there was NO premiere or screening of the full movie yesterday. The Kannappa team only reviewed a 15-minute VFX segment for quality assessment and corrections. The film’s first cut is still in progress, primarily due to the extensive and intricate VFX work, which requires significant time and effort. We request fans and media not to believe or spread unverified information. Official updates will be announced soon. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.”
With this statement, the team has put to rest all speculation regarding an early preview, reaffirming that the film is still in its post-production phase. Fans can expect official updates from the makers in due course.
