Recently, reports surfaced claiming that drugs and foreign liquor were found at a private party hosted by popular singer Mangli in Chevella. The Telangana police’s official X handle also made a statement about the incident. In response, Mangli came forward with her version of events, clarifying key details surrounding the controversy.
In a video statement, Mangli explained that the party was organized to celebrate her birthday at a farmhouse, following a request from her parents. The gathering included her family, close friends, relatives, family friends, and members of her team. She admitted that alcohol was served at the event but expressed regret for not obtaining the required permissions.
“I was not aware that we needed special permission to serve alcohol. Had I known, I would have surely secured the necessary approvals. However, contrary to reports, there was no foreign liquor at the party; only local liquor was present,” Mangli stated. She further added that the police themselves confirmed the absence of drugs at the party.
The controversy intensified after reports indicated that the manager of the farmhouse tested positive for drugs. Clarifying this aspect, Mangli said, “The manager had consumed drugs at a different location and time. The police have verified that neither I nor any of the attendees are connected to his actions.”
The police initially raided the premises due to the lack of permission for alcohol consumption. Unfortunately, rumors and speculations on social media escalated the situation, leading to negative publicity for the singer.
