Mani Ratnam’s dream project, Ponniyin Selvan has been in the making for a long time now. The makers recently commenced the final schedule of the film at a specially erected set in Hyderabad and the lead cast took part in the same.
As per latest reports, Mani Ratnam is now in legal trouble after a horse, which was used for Ponniyin Selvan’s shooting purpose died on the sets of the film.
Apparently, PETA filed a police complaint against Mani Ratnam, his production house, Madras Talkies, and the man who owned the horse. In the complaint, PETA mentioned that the makers of Ponniyin Selvan continued shooting with the horse even after knowing that it was severely dehydrated.
Mani Ratnam will now have to face the legal consequences for the unfortunate incident. He is yet to issue a public statement in this regard.
