Manmohan Singh recovers from Covid, discharged from AIIMS

Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was discharged from Delhi’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences today. He was admitted to the Trauma Centre of AIIMS on April 19 after testing positive for coronavirus.

The 88-year-old Congress leader has received his two vaccine doses of Covaxin – the first on March 4 and the second on April 3. He was rushed to the hospital as a matter of precaution.

When the veteran leader was admitted to the AIIMS, prominent leaders like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal had wished the former prime minister a speedy recovery.

Meanwhile, India reported 3.23 lakh fresh coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours. On the positive side, the country has seen 2,51,827 recoveries on Wednesday.
