Director Vijay Kanakamedala recently found himself in the middle of a social media storm after an old post from his account resurfaced, sparking backlash. While Vijay clarified that his account had been hacked, the issue still attracted attention. However, during the pre-release event of Bhairavam, actor Manoj Manchu came forward in strong support of the filmmaker.
Speaking passionately at the event, Manoj said, “Rohit, Sai, and I share a bond that goes beyond cinema — we’re like brothers. Working together on Bhairavam only strengthened that connection. I genuinely pray that this bond lasts a lifetime. For us, cinema is everything. There is no caste in cinema. Our only identity is our work. The movie theatre is our temple, and talent is what matters here — not status or background. Our producer Radha Mohan backed us based on belief and vision, not on the market value or current success of the actors involved.”
Addressing the controversy, Manoj added, “Director Vijay is a committed and passionate filmmaker. There have been some unfortunate remarks circulating online recently. Whether the post was his or not, I want to emphasize — he is a die-hard Mega fan. Still, on behalf of our entire team, I sincerely apologize if anyone was hurt. Our focus is on delivering good cinema, and we stand united.”
Lead actor Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas also expressed his enthusiasm for the film, stating, “Bhairavam is not just another film — it’s a powerful experience. I’ve seen the final cut, and I’m blown away. The passion and dedication Vijay has poured into every frame are clearly visible. I truly believe May 30 will feel like a celebration. We invite everyone to watch the film and shower their blessings on our team.”
Bhairavam is set to hit theatres on May 30, and the team is optimistic about the audience embracing their hard work and vision.
