There is a strong buzz in film circles that Priyanka Chopra Jonas is being considered for the female lead in the Kalki sequel. Deepika Padukone was initially expected to reprise her role in the second installment, but she reportedly opted out due to scheduling conflicts. With Deepika stepping away, Priyanka’s chances of joining the project have increased significantly.

At present, Priyanka is busy shooting for Varanasi, directed by SS Rajamouli. According to industry sources, the Kalki producers are open to casting her and believe she would add immense value to the franchise. However, the speculation also suggests that Priyanka has expressed concerns about the shoot schedule. While she is willing to travel for the film along with her daughter, she is said to be keen on having flexible working hours.

Another major point of discussion is her remuneration. Reports indicate that Priyanka is expecting a paycheck on par with Deepika Padukone’s. The Kalki team is yet to make a final call on this, but discussions are moving in a positive direction. If the makers manage to onboard Priyanka, it will undoubtedly boost the film’s global appeal.
