After a pause in February, the March 2026 Visa Bulletin brings selective movement for Indian applicants. Employment-based categories show meaningful progress, while family-sponsored green cards remain largely unchanged. Notably, the Religious Workers category reopens, offering new opportunities for previously blocked applicants.
For India, key employment-based Final Action Dates move forward. EB-4 advances by 6.5 months, while Certain Religious Workers reopen from “Unavailable” to July 15, 2021, resuming processing for blocked applicants. EB-2 moves ahead by 2 months, and EB-1 by 1 month, while EB-3 and Other Workers remain static.
Filing Dates show even larger gains. EB-2 filing dates jump 11 months, and EB-4 filing dates advance 21 months, giving eligible Indian applicants the chance to submit adjustment of status applications, secure work authorisation, and protect dependents while awaiting final approvals.
In contrast, family-based categories see very little movement. Final Action Dates remain unchanged for Indian applicants, and only F2A, covering spouses and minor children of permanent residents, moves forward by one month in filing dates. All other family categories remain static.
Overall, March 2026 offers optimism for Indian professionals pursuing employment-based green cards, while family-based applicants continue to face long delays with minimal procedural gains.
