Married Couple Can Have Sex In Jail

Punjab and Haryana High Court in a historic verdict allowed jail inmates to have sex with their inmates as long as they are married and interested in having a child. 

Justice Surya Kant of the High Court passed the orders which was made public on Tuesday while disposing petition filed by couple Jasvir Singh and Sonia who are currently put in Central Jail, Patiala. 

The couple were sentenced to death by a trial court for kidnapping and killing at 16 year old rich boy from Hoshiarpur, for a hefty ransom. Court held that it was a fundamental right of inmates to have conjugal visits or artificial insemination for progeny.
