Prolific Telugu actor Ravi Teja, fondly known as Mass Maharaja, is gearing up for another foray into the historical genre. Following his recent period films “Disco Raja” and “Tiger Nageswara Rao,” Teja has signed on for a new project under the direction of debutant filmmaker Bhanu Bhogavarapu.
The film, bankrolled by Sithara Entertainments, will be set against the backdrop of the Araku forest. Reports suggest that Bhogavarapu was determined to have Teja portray the lead role, narrating the script to three different production houses before Sithara Entertainments came on board. Sreeleela has been confirmed as the female lead, and the opening ceremony for the film has already taken place.
This project comes amidst Teja’s work on another film, “Mr. Bachchan,” directed by Harish Shankar under the People Media Factory banner. Shooting for “Mr. Bachchan” is nearing completion, paving the way for the commencement of the Araku forest film. Ravi Teja, renowned for his rapid work pace, has yet to finalize his next project after this one, a surprising development for the busy actor.
The film boasts a talented crew, with happening composer Bheems Ceciroleo, fresh off the success of “Dhamaka’s” soundtrack, on board for music composition. Vidhu Ayyana will handle cinematography, while Sri Nagendra Tangala will oversee production design. Nandu Savirigana has been enlisted for dialogue writing, working from a story and screenplay penned by Bhanu Bhogavarapu himself. National Award-winning editor Navin Nooli will round out the team as the film’s editor.
With a captivating backdrop, a dedicated director, and a skilled crew, this new period film starring Ravi Teja promises to be an exciting addition to the Telugu cinematic landscape. Fans eagerly await further updates on the project’s title and release schedule.
