In the wake of “Touch Chesi Choodu” heading to become a miserable film at the box office, many want to know why things are not working out for Mass Raja who was once considered to be the most dependable and bankable star by producers. Here is an interesting take on this.
If we look at most of his recent movies including Balupu, Power, Kick 2, Bengal Tiger and Raja The Great, the stories are pretty much the same routine formulae and that’s what spelling doom for him. During the good olden times, Raviteja’s energy used to be a highlight but these days every actor is showcasing same energy. And with the advent of comedy shows on television, people are not liking ridiculous spoof comedies in films. These are the areas our hero need to think differently and improvise now.
Also, he could grab an example from his Bollywood counterparts. After continuously taking up only silly commercial movies, Akshay Kumar changed his path by signing films like Baby, Airlift and now Padman. He is showing quite a maturity and his choice of stories are getting impressive. Probably it is high time even Raviteja invents himself with such different stories rather sticking to shallow masala movies.
Though Ravi is of the idea that when he did experiments people rejected him, it’s high time for him to understand that an experiment should be like a “Dangal” but not like a “Shock” where a popular hero would turn weak and helpless.
