There are many films in recent times which got positive talk on the first day but ended up as commercial failures. The recent romantic comedy ‘Urvashivo Rakshasivo’ is the best example of that and it looks like Vishnu Vishal’s latest outing ‘Matti Kusthi’ is following the same route.
This interesting film got a positive talk on Day 1 but the lack of star power and absence of well-known Telugu actors worked against the movie. Though Mass Maharaj Ravi Teja is one of the producers of this movie, the movie failed to get noticed. Some films attract the crowd once positive word of mouth comes out but the craze and hype surrounding Adivi Sesh’s ‘HIT 2’ has completely overshadowed this movie.
Adivi Sesh’s murder investigation drama is walking away with all the praise and collections while ‘Maati Kusthi’ is hardly getting any recognition. With not many big films releasing till Christmas, we need to see if ‘Matti Kusthi’ picks up pace in terms of collections or not.
This film is bankrolled under Vishnu Vishal Studioz and Ravi Teja’s ‘RT Teamworks’. Chella Ayyavu is the writer and director of this film while Justin Prabhakaran is the music composer. Prasanna is the editor and Richard M Nathan is the cinematographer. Stunts composed by Anbariv are going to be the biggest strength of this movie. Aishwarya Lekshmi is the female lead in this film while it has Ajay, Shatru, Munishkanth, Karunas, Hareesh Peradi and Redin Kingsley playing key roles.
