On the occasion of his birthday, AP CM Chandrababu has kick-started a single day protest “Dharma Porata Deeksha” at Gandhi Stadium in Vijayawada. But before this got started, at midnight, Janasena president Pawan Kalyan took to Twitter to create a storm in political circles with his barrage of tweets.
Reportedly Pawan Kalyan accused TV9 and ABN of standing by Telugudesam and intentionally assassinating his character. And now, these TV channels are not even covering Pawan’s tweets or his arrival at Film Chamber, giving rise to speculations that if these channels are really dead against Pawan Kalyan. However, NTV and Sakshi are giving a terrific coverage to PK along with Naidu’s Deeksha. On a whole, we could say that TV channels are covering Naidu’s Deeksha 60% of the time and allotted 40% space to Pawan Kalyan’s accusations.
Coming to social media, the situation is completely different with hashtags like #WithPK trending both on Twitter and Facebook in a big manner. Many celebrities are expressing solidarity with Pawan Kalyan and even changed their display pictures to black colour in support of him. We have to say that 60% of social media is now speaking about Pawan and his protest, while the other 40% is busy talking about Bharat Anu Nenu result at the box office. And TDP’s protests are a discussion on political pages and accounts.
We have to see how these trends change by the end of the day as Pawan Kalyan is also said to be trying to kick-start his Deeksha in front of Film Chamber, against media that is insulting Telugu Film Industry.
