In today’s film industry, where stardom is often measured by box-office numbers and fan following, true greatness is reflected in humility and humanity. New-age director Anil Ravipudi’s heartfelt praise for Prabhas is a testament to this truth. What may seem like a simple remark carries immense depth and dignity.

At the pre-release event of The Raja Saab, Prabhas made a statement that caught everyone’s attention. Emphasizing respect for senior actors, he said that juniors should always show deference to their seniors and went on to wish all films releasing during the Sankranthi season grand success.

Director Anil Ravipudi, who is busy promoting Megastar Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, described Prabhas’ words as a true reflection of his personality. “That one statement itself shows what kind of person Prabhas is. That is exactly why we all lovingly call him ‘Darling Prabhas’. His nature and humanity have brought him to the position he enjoys today. For that statement especially, my heartfelt respect and hats off to him,” said the director.

Anil Ravipudi also shared his team’s excitement for The Raja Saab, revealing they would attend the premieres on January 8. Apart from this, several films are set to release this Sankranthi, including Ravi Teja’s Bharta Mahasayulaku Wignapthi, Naveen Polishetty’s Anaganaga Oka Roju, Nari Nari Naduma Murari, as well as dubbed releases like Vijay’s Jana Nayakudu and Sivakarthikeyan’s Parashanti. The total business at stake this festive season is estimated at over Rs 350 crore.

However, a top distributor warned that only three films can be comfortably accommodated during the Sankranthi window, given there are just around 1,500 theatres across the Telugu states. “Dubbed films should ideally be avoided during the festive season. Telugu stars like Chiranjeevi and Prabhas are already in direct competition, while other actors are also looking to cash in on the festival advantage,” he added.
