GAMA Awards 2025: Telugu Cinema Shines in Dubai

The prestigious Gulf Academy Movie Awards (GAMA), one of the most anticipated events for the Telugu film industry, marked its fifth edition on August 30, 2025, at the Sharjah Expo Centre in Dubai. Following four successful editions, this year’s ceremony was held with even greater grandeur, drawing the presence of leading stalwarts from Tollywood. Under the leadership of GAMA Awards Chairman Kesari Trimurtulu and CEO Saurabh Kesari, the event reaffirmed its status as a global platform honoring cinematic brilliance.

The GAMA 2025 jury, chaired by veteran filmmaker A. Kodandarami Reddy, acclaimed music composer Koti, and noted director B. Gopal, recognized exceptional achievements across multiple categories. The blockbuster Pushpa 2: The Rule, which garnered nationwide acclaim, dominated the awards, winning Best Film, Best Actor (Allu Arjun), Best Director (Sukumar), and Best Music Director (Devi Sri Prasad) among others.

Lifetime Achievement Award: Veteran producer Ashwini Dutt

Special Global Comedian Award: Brahmanandam

Special recognition also went to emerging talents including Roshan and Sridevi (Court), Manasa Varanasi, and Satyadev (Zebra), highlighting GAMA’s commitment to encouraging young artists. The Gaddar Memorial Music Award was conferred on Matla Tirupati, while industry veterans such as Raja Ravindra and Kiran Abbavaram earned Jury accolades for their outstanding performances.

Adding sparkle to the evening, celebrated performers Faria Abdullah, Urvashi Rautela, and Manasa Varanasi lit up the stage with electrifying acts. Renowned hosts Suma and Harsha kept audiences engaged, ensuring the ceremony was both prestigious and entertaining.
