Imitation is a remarkable skill, and for an actor, emulating a star can open doors to countless opportunities. Alankar Joshi is a perfect example of this. As a child actor, he shone in small yet memorable roles alongside major stars, leaving a lasting impression on audiences.

Alankar has acted in over 100 Hindi films. He began his career as a child artist and made a mark in cult classics like Seeta Aur Geeta (1972), Majboor (1974), and Deewar (1975). His performance in Deewar was so notable that he was sometimes referred to as “Deewar Alankar.” In that blockbuster film, he played a small role alongside Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan.

Young Alankar’s charm and performance won hearts, and it was Amitabh himself who recommended him to Yash Raj Films for the role, according to his sister Pallavi Joshi. This opportunity allowed Alankar to showcase his talent in recreating the nuanced acting style of a superstar.

However, being repeatedly cast in similar roles eventually led him to explore other avenues, and he transitioned to Marathi cinema. Later, he moved to the U.S. and worked as a software engineer for two years before founding his own company. Today, he successfully runs his business, which has assets worth around ₹200 crore.

Though Alankar Joshi has stepped away from acting, his children have embraced the entertainment world. His daughter Anuja Joshi became popular for her role in Hello Mini, while his other child is making strides in music. Despite his professional achievements abroad, Alankar prefers a private family life with his wife and children.
