Meta Launches Gaming Accelerator in India to Empower Indie Developers
Meta has announced the launch of its Gaming Accelerator programme in India, designed to support small and medium-sized game developers and studios across the country. Introduced at the Meta Marketing Summit – Gaming Edition, this initiative aims to fuel growth in India’s rapidly evolving gaming sector.
The accelerator is being launched in partnership with four leading venture capital firms: Bitkraft Ventures, Kalaari Capital, Lumikai Fund, and Elevation Capital. In its initial phase, the programme will mentor 20 to 30 promising Indian developers through a structured curriculum focused on monetisation, user acquisition, global expansion, and AI integration.
“India’s gaming community is a hotbed of creativity and innovation, but to unlock its full potential, we need to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity,” said Arun Srinivas, Managing Director and Head of Meta India. “The Meta Gaming Accelerator is designed to give developers access to cutting-edge ad tools, expert mentorship, and guidance to scale their businesses globally.”
Key Highlights of the Accelerator:
AI-Powered Innovation: Sessions on integrating Meta’s AI tools, including Llama, into game development and player experience design.
Ad Monetisation and Meta Platform Training: Leveraging Meta Ads and Audience Network for growth.
User Acquisition and Campaign Strategy Workshops: Targeting effective scaling.
Deep Dives on Personalisation and Narrative Design: Using AI for dynamic gameplay.
Mentorship on Fundraising and Business Models: Led by VC experts.
Global Expansion Guidance: For international market readiness.
The programme will culminate in a Demo Day, where developers will present their projects to investors, Meta leaders, and gaming industry stakeholders. Top-performing studios may receive additional exposure within Meta’s ecosystem and potential funding opportunities.
Strategic VC Support
Anuj Tandon, Partner at Bitkraft Ventures, noted:

Vamshi Reddy, Partner at Kalaari Capital, added:

Salone Sehgal, Founder and Managing Partner at Lumikai Fund, said:
“This partnership ensures that portfolio companies, particularly at early and growth stages, receive critical mentorship for mastering efficient user acquisition and retention.”
Industry Reception
Parth Chadha, Co-Founder and CEO at STAN, called the initiative a “catalyst for innovation, AI integration, and global scalability.”
“At STAN, we’re aligned with this vision and are actively supporting the creator-led gaming economy through initiatives like GameX 2.0 with DLabs at ISB. Meta’s accelerator will elevate India’s game development landscape to global standards.”
Meta emphasized that this initiative aligns with its broader mission to nurture creative talent, drive tech-led entrepreneurship, and contribute to India’s digital economy.
