Microsoft is now offering 100GB of free OneDrive cloud storage to all Dropbox users. Microsoft’s promotional offer will be available for a period of one year. OneDrive took to its official Twitter handle to make the formal announcement which seemed more of a dig at Dropbox urging them to switch to OneDrive.
Once you visit Microsoft’s OneDrive bonus page, you’ll be greeted by a teaser tagline that states, “A gift to current Dropbox users for installing OneDrive.” The free OneDrive storage is simple. Simply visit the OneDrive bonus page wherein users’ OneDrive as well as Dropbox accounts will be verified.
Once you’re through the verification stage, you’ll be requested to add a ‘Getting Started with OneDrive’ PDF file to your Dropbox folder. Next, you’ll be redirected to a confirmation page that reads ‘Your bonus storage was successfully applied!’ That’s all.
The free 100GB cloud storage will be added as ‘Enthusiast Bonus’ to your OneDrive account. 100GB of free OneDrive cloud storage is available outside the US via its Bing Rewards program. The offer is currently available to US consumers via Microsoft; however, it is available for two years on the go.
